23.07.00 Thank you for showing the photo of staff from Blackpool Grammar School from 1949 - very interesting. Especially as it shows my father Stan Walmsley in a photo I haven't seen before. He was a teacher at BGS from 1941 until shortly before he died in 1960. By the way, I haven't heard of him being called Charlie as far as I know - he was Stan to his friends and (in my time at least) Wally to the boys at school. The photo was a bit before my time as I was only 6 in 1949. I was at BGS from 1954 to 1962, and would be interested to hear news of anyone who was there at that time. I am going to explore the website a bit more and see what there is!
