UPDATE 27 January 2001
Nora T.Gazey has forwarded the following message about the photograph.
"This is a 'House' group, probably Parlick House after winning the Annual Singing Competition of 1930 or 1931. The lady at the back is our music teacher, Miss Hilda Read. We wore yellow ties out and our yellow girdles specially for such occasions. I think that the big girl centre front is Joan Quinlan and that I may be on the left hand end of the next to the back row.
Joan Quinlan had a brother,Dennis, at the Grammar School. I don't recognise any other girls.
There are guesses - and guesses only for Ruth Towers, Lily Isaccs and Queenie Saynor."
Thanks Nora anymore names??
