I worked for British Aerospace after working at Squires Gate Airport and a stint in the R.A.F. I emigrated to California with my wife (from Clayton-le-Moors) in 1964 and have living 20 miles norh of San Francisco ever since. |

| message contents: | I am trying to locate a girl from the Blackpool area who I was at Claremont School with from 1940 - 1946. Her name was Imogen Kay Thompson always known as 'Pete'.
Other girls who may have known her were Jean Scatchard and Mildred Davidson (later Collegiate).
I was a 1943 starter at the Grammar School and I check the Meliora website occasionally to see whether former classmates are mentioned. This evening I noticed your request for information about Pete - Imogen Kay Thompson who attended Claremont School. Pete was the daughter of Ethel and Jim Thompson and the niece of George Kay who married my sister. She trained as a dancer and eventually became an international artist with a small group of dancers which provided entertainment in various places abroad and on cruise ships. She married the leading male dancer and together they managed the group. She and her husband returned to Blackpool and sadly she died on 23 Oct 1996.
