| message contents: | Just met Ian Tracy who told me about the re-union for 1965 intake(50 this year). Sorry but cannot make it as I,m away. I used to travel with Mick Wright,& Mick Philpotts in Pete Trend's car usually to do little work.I remember being caned and slippered by Mr Rigby and Mr Gowling for smoking(must have worked - I don't smoke now).After leaving in 1972 I had a couple of jobs until joining the fire brigade in 1977 and am still a fireman today(can retire in three years-that makes you feel old!) My three grown up sons 22,24, and 26 all worked harder than me and got a degree each. Anyway have a great night I hope it goes well. P.S. Many thanks to Keith Morgan for selling me his copy of 'Pet Sounds' in about 1967 for five shillings - still play it to this day. |
