| message contents: | I'd be grateful if anyone out there could help me. One of my best friends at school was Michelle Threlfall. We stayed in touch for many years afterwards, our sons were born very closely together and even had the same name. Tragically Michelle's son died (I'm sure anyone in Blackpool around that time will remember the Go for it Jo campaign to raise money to send Jo to America for treatment). We lost touch after that and I was alarmed to hear, a few months ago, from another 1974 starter that she thought Michelle had died although wasn't 100% sure. Can anyone out there confirm or deny this? I'm desperately hoping it isn't true but would like to know one way or the other. |

Hope you'll forgive me for getting serious for a moment but I understand that one of our starters, Robert Gillespie, may be serving out in the Gulf at the moment. I'm sure I speak on behalf of us all when I wish Robert, and of course any other former Collegiate pupils, a speedy and safe return. We'll have a drink (or several) in support of Gilly on May 3rd. | message contents: | 1974 Reunion. - OK everyone I have spoken to the Old Town Hall at Monitors suggestion. The pub is certainly bigger and likely to be less crowded than the Thatched House. I suggest those that want still go to the Thatched at 7pm and the main event moves round the corner to the Old Town Hall for 8.p.m. The upstairs room is available on the night for a charge of £40 and following Jax efforts to get cash out of you lot I am not going to go there. If its available on the night we will try and cajole the Landlord into opening it up. Stay tuned for further developments. Colin |

| message contents: | 1974 Reunion Judging by the previous comments there are still some of us out there game for a get together. OK I will nail my colours to the mast. I have lived out of the area for the last god knows how long but I assume all you 1974 starters know where the Thatched House is in Poulton (or whatever it might happen to be called nowadays). For those who are interested lets meet up there on the same day as Jax has tried to get us together and just wing it and see what develops. Hell I will be coming from darkest Motherwell, surely we can get enough together to organise a decent round of drinks!!! May 3rd 2003, Thatched House 7.00pm - You know it makes sense! |
