Mr W I Curnow former BGS Master 1914 - c1946 and wife Hilda.
Mr Curnow taught at The Blackpool Secondary School from c.1914 and retired from Blackpool Grammar School in c1946. For part of his career at BGS he was Deputy Head a position he relinquished in his latter days at the school.
Mrs Hilda Curnow (nee Unsworth) was a former Head Mistress of Fleetwood Grammar School. Hilda was Mr Curnows second wife and the couple married in 1953. Mr Curnow died in 1962 and Hilda in 2002. Following his retirement from BGS Mr Curnow spent many years working in adult education.
