Who would believe that after leaving school nearly 24 years ago that we would all meet up again especially in what was probably the changing rooms of the old Derby Baths!

What a great night! It was so good to see everyone again, and recognise all those familiar faces, amidst the screams of laughter as we reminisced about the terrible things we used to get up to at school.

I didn’t manage to thank certain people on the night, due to nerves, - but a big thank you to Clive Mattock and Ian Ferguson, who traced so many people for me.

And a special thanks to Linda Coyne (71 starter), who must have made hundreds of phone calls trying to find people.

It was good to see our former teachers there and for those of you who weren’t in the room, we gave flowers to Miss Roberts and Dr. Wilkinson.

I hope that those who flew in from abroad had safe journeys home Andrew Healey (Greece), June Ellwood, Bruce Raksnys, Simon Coope, John Webster and Ian Kirk (U.S.A.).

I managed to find so many of you, but there are still people on the ‘missing list’, and will keep looking for them!

The 10 months spent organising the reunion, have certainly been a challenge, but, thoroughly enjoyable, and I wouldn’t have been able to find some of you, without the help of Martin & Susan Wilson and the internet, and of course Julie, who would update me weekly with who she’d just met whilst shopping!

Thank you all so much for the beautiful bracelet and flowers what a surprise! And for all your e-mails, cards, presents and flowers (Kenny the CD is brilliant what a talent!)

I do hope that many of you will keep in touch with each other, it was rewarding in itself to see old friends back together again.

How lucky I was to spend my schooldays with such great people. We will do it all again I will keep all the contact information safe until next time!
