1970 Starters Reunion
To all Blackpool Collegiate Grammar School 1970 Starters.
The reunion of 1970s starters took place at the Old Town Hall pub in Poulton on Saturday 27th October 2001. For me it was tremendous to be able to spend an evening with former school friends and teachers. Not only did I have great fun but also I took full advantage of the opportunity to appease my conscience for some adolescent misdemeanors. Like apologising to Miss Burrows for joining forces with Gillian Dickie, Annette Latham and Dawn Cartwright in 5T when we were into, what I would now generously describe as, excessive boundary testing!
At the reunion I was able to refelect that in changing and uncertain times somethings simply don't change (thankyou Dr. Wilkinson for correcting my English during my little speech, I will try harder but at 42 my learning curve is not so steep!)
Thank you to all the people who made last night possible (former pupils, teachers, Martin and Linda) and into an evening that I will not forget.
