This site brings back some very happy memories of life at the school. Like managing to stay in the bottom set for everything from 1xy to 5 xy. Having some good times, having a laugh with teachers like Mr Quinlan and Mr Slater classics (I Think), and others, memory is slowly going. Going on our own 'D Day landings' to Brae Dunes, in Belgium, in 1970 (I think again). Having a great time there, exploring old second world war tunnels, looking for dead Germans, bullets etc. Hiring a bike to get around, then damaging it, then having my passport held until I could pay an extortionate fine, with the help of the teachers. I remember the great excitement that the amalgamation with the girls caused, in 1971/72. Looking at the photos placed on the web site I can remember some of the names like Gary Wall, Julie Pankhurst, Julie Armatidge and co. Nick Christophedes, Nigel Burnside, Stephen Hall, John Hughes, Stephen Davies, John Naylor, and my now Brother in Law Kevin Jackson, to name but a few. I've included my school photograph, either we never got photos taken, or they've been lost over time. Anyway keep up the good work, and if anyone can remember 'spotty' Richard Penswick, from all that time ago just drop me an email, on Email: rpenswick@lineone.net I still live in Blackpool, in sleepy Carleton.
