This photo was taken midsummer of 1988 it was taken at the grand opening of the new Co-op Bank in Church Street, Blackburn. I'd been in the job about 11 years then and John Nettles was still Jim Bergerac. He'd been invited to do the honours and I was delegated to be his minder for the day.
