Blackpool Grammar School 1951
The website has been supplied with the following list from Peter Barton
After considerable head scratching I have come up with a list of 1951 BGS starters.
I surprised myself at being able to come up with so many names, but I am more confident
about the last names than about the first names in many cases. This is a reflection on the
customs of the time when we referred to each other as much or more by our last names than our
first. I hope people will add to my list, correct my mistakes and add to my occasional comments
as to what I remember about the guys. I would also like to hear from any of you.
My e-mail address is peter.leslie.barton@sympatico.ca

Dave Lee and Duke Hall. But nobody from among
the 1951 males has posted their e-mail address on the Board except me! I wish they would!
updated comment April 2002:-
I have heard from Robin Davies, Duke Hall, Mike Hopwood, Dave Lee, Phillip Mears, "Johnny"
Walker and George Oxley. I am on the trail of several others. Keep 'em coming. And while you are at it
register, like "Johnny" Walker so that you can get in touch with each other directly!
