THE BANTAMS.

The Bantams have had a very successful term, winning four matches and losing one, and have improved on last term especially in the forwards. They have, had some very enjoyable games, particularly that against Hutton which was won by one point. They played grand game against Cowley but were meeting a team which was too clever and too fast for them a team too, which had not lost a match during the whole season and was indeed one 0f the best Cowley have ever had. The Bantams however did gain the distinction of scoring two out of the only four tries which have been scored against Cowlev this season.

Rowbottom has again proved a cheerful and efficient scrum half and captain with Liversedge helping him well at stand off. 'Wilkinson and A. C. .Jones have been sound centres who have tackled and ruut well. On the wing, Wainwright has scored several good tries and is developing a useful swerve, whilst Duckworth on the other wing has improved steadily as gained several tries through strong, hard. running. A new full back has been found in Broadhurst, who tackles well and should be very useful to the side next season.

Outstanding among the forwards have been Whipp, with his terrier-like tenacity, T. Duckworth, the hooker, and Kay (IVa), with some fine dribbles. but Waterfield, Curnow, Moore and Gledhill, have all worked hard and pushed steadily in the scrums.
